Decorate your front door this season with a beautiful spring wreath. This DIY wreath is super fun and easy to make. I can’t wait for you to try!
Spring is such an exciting time of year. The weather starts to get warmer, the flowers begin to bloom, and the birds start chirping. It is a sign that the cold and gloomy months of winter are fading and the warm and happy months of summer are approaching!
Adding a Spring wreath to your front door is a great way to embrace this spring season. Choosing florals and brightly colored embellishments to decorate your wreath will give your home a warm and welcoming entrance.
What I love about this DIY front door wreath is how simple and customizable it is. You can pick out any kind of flowers and colors you wish. Then you can subtly change it up year after year without having to buy a whole new wreath.
I hope you enjoy making your DIY spring wreath!
STEP 1
Gather all your supplies. You can get everything you need from your local craft store such as Michaels or Hobby Lobby.
Here is what you will need:
- Round grapevine wreath
- Faux flowers and/or greenery
- Wired ribbon of choice (preferably 2.5in width)
- Scissors/wire cutters
- Pipe cleaners
- Optional: Hot glue gun
STEP 2
Choose the placement of your flowers. You can place the flowers all the way around the grapevine wreath or bunched to one side. I am choosing to decorate just one side of my wreath with flowers because I like the look of the rustic grapevine wreath showing through. Depending on the flowers you purchased you may need to trim the stems before placing them on the wreath. Sometimes scissors will work; otherwise, try a wire cutter.
STEP 3
Now it’s time to attach your flowers to the wreath! You can usually just tuck the stems in between the wreath branches so they are secure. If they need more securing, you can use a glue gun to hold the flowers in place. When attaching your flowers, also remember to leave a gap for where you are going to place your bow.
STEP 4
Make your bow! Click here to learn how to make a bow for your wreath. Attach your bow to the wreath using pipe cleaners or simply just hot glue it.
STEP 5
Voila! A beautiful spring wreath. Now you can hang it on your door. I hang my wreaths using a wreath hanger such as this one.
I hope you enjoyed learning how to make this adorable DIY Spring Wreath. Happy Crafting!
