A simple and sweet almond cake! Perfect for tea time, breakfast, and of course dessert!
This almond cake is my go-to recipe when I want to serve up something quick and delicious for guests! It is so simple to make and you most likely have all the ingredients in your home already. I swear it comes out perfect every time! You’ll have to give it a try!
Not only is this cake super simple to make, but it is also bursting with almond flavor! Does anyone else love almond flavoring as much as I do? In my opinion, nothing is better than almond-flavored food and drink. Amaretto liqueur, bear claws, marzipan… so delicious! The flavor pairs so well with a hot cup of coffee or tea.
It is a single-layer cake that is super moist and dense. The cake doesn’t require any frosting as it is delicious as is! Though I do like to add some slivered almonds on top for a light and crunchy topping as well as a sprinkle of powdered sugar to make it look pretty.
